Support groups for individuals with Alzheimer's disease

Weekly meetings hosted by one of our specialized counselors where participants in early stages of Alzheimer’s disease can obtain information, discuss specific topics and enjoy cognitive stimulation activities. This service provides respite for the caregiver.

Schedule for individuals over 65 years of age: Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm  Fee: 5$ per meeting.

Schedule for individuals under 65 years of age: Fridays from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm  Fee: 18 $ per day including hot lunch.

Registration mandatory (free). 

The ideal transportation for the participant is the one supplied by the caregiver. 

It is possible to obtain adapted transportation provided by the Laval Transport Society.  The caregiver’s presence is required in order to facilitate the travel.  You just have to place a request.  This service is free for all persons aged 65 years and over.     

Activity and respite center 

The Activity and respite Centre welcomes individuals with Alzheimer’s disease who still live in their family environment. It allows them to socialize, talk with other people and participate in interesting and adapated activities.  Fee per day: 18$ including hot lunch and snacks.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm
